We now know how the bracket will look in an absolutely loaded Maui Invitational field this November.

Kansas, which may be ranked as the preseason No. 1 team in all of college hoops, will open against host school Chaminade on Nov. 20 at the historic Lahaina Civic Center in Maui.

From there, KU likely will face the winner of the first-round matchup between UCLA and Marquette on Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. The third game of the event will be played on Nov. 22 and also will be shown on the ESPN Networks.

With the field as stacked as it is, KU landing Chaminade in its opener is a real advantage. Now, in order to win the thing the Jayhawks will have to beat two strong Division I programs instead of three like the rest of the field.

KU last played in Maui in 2019, when the Jayhawks won the title. KU also won the title four years earlier, in 2015, and the program has three Maui Invitational championships in its trophy case. KU also won in 1996.

This will mark Kansas' fifth appearance in the event under current head coach Bill Self.
