Here’s a quick look at some of the more interesting and noteworthy facts and stats from KU's second consecutive loss of the season, a 24-17 setback to Arizona State in the Union Jack Classic at Wembley Stadium in London.

Coin Toss: Arizona State won the toss and deferred to the second half. Kansas received the opening kickoff and defended the north end.
Team Notes
• Kansas falls to 617-695-58 all-time, including 28-37 under head coach Lance Leipold. Leipold’s career record falls to 174-76 overall.
• Arizona State improves its series advantage over Kansas at 2-0.
• Kansas held Arizona State to just 3.5 yards per play on Saturday.
Offensive Notes
• Redshirt sophomore quarterback Isaiah Marshall finished 17-of-33 passing for 235 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown pass marked Marshall’s fifth of his career.
• Redshirt senior wide receiver Nahzae Cox had a KU career high 3 catches for 61 yards. It was his most receiving yards since having 77 against Kennesaw State, while at Middle Tennessee in 2025.
• Redshirt junior running back Dylan Edwards rushed for 18 yards on 89 carries, marking a KU career high. Edwards’ 89 rushing yards were the most since rushing for 166 yards against UCF in 2025.
• In the fourth quarter, sophomore Tate Nagy recorded his second career receiving touchdown on a 38-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Isaiah Marshall.
Defensive Notes
• Redshirt senior Eamon Smalls recorded 1.0 tackles-for-loss on Saturday, marking his first as a Jayhawk. Smalls now has 5.5 career tackles-for-loss.
• Redshirt senior linebacker Trey Lathan finished with 7 tackles, including 1 tackles-for-loss, marking 2.5 on the season and 19.5 over his career.
• Junior Leroy Harris III recorded 7 tackles including 1.0 sacks, marking his first sack of the season, which included a forced fumble. Harris now has 5.5 sacks over his career and his second forced fumble, which he has done in back-to-back games.
• Redshirt junior David Santiago recorded Kansas’ second sack of the second quarter, marking his first career sack as a Jayhawk and 5.5 of his career.
Special Teams Notes
• Sophomore Tate Nagy scored his first career punt return touchdown, second overall, on a 72-yard punt return in the second quarter. The touchdown marked Kansas’ first punt return since Trevor Wilson returned a punt 82 yards against UCF in 2023.
• Kansas kicker Martin Connington connected on 1-of-2 field goals on Saturday, including a 46-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Connington is now 2-of-4 on the season and 14-of-20 over his career.
