Team Notes

• Kansas improved to 616-690-58 all-time, including 27-32 under head coach Lance Leipold. Leipold’s career record improved to 173-71 overall.

• The all-time series between Kansas and Oklahoma State is now 41-31-3, in favor of Oklahoma State. Today marked Kansas’ first win over Oklahoma State since Nov. 5, 2022.

• Kansas has its 17th win against Oklahoma State in Lawrence all-time, including Kansas’ second straight over the Cowboys in Lawrence. It is Kansas’ first two-game win streak over Oklahoma State in Lawrence since 1992-1994 and Kansas’ first two game win streak against Oklahoma State overall since 1994-95.

• Kansas is now 48-60-5 on Homecoming all-time, including Kansas’ fourth-straight Homecoming victory. The win streak is Kansas’ longest Homecoming
win streak since Kansas won four-straight Homecoming games from 1997-2000.

• Kansas is now 12-12 in Big 12 Conference play since 2023.

• Kansas is 4-2 at home this season, marking its best start at home since starting the 2023 season (5-0) at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

• Kansas has 5 or more wins for the fourth straight season. Kansas did not have a 5-win season in the 11 years prior to Leipold’s arrival. You would have to go back to 2006-09 for Kansas’ last four consecutive seasons with 5 or more wins.

Offensive Notes

• Redshirt senior quarterback Jalon Daniels completed 13-of-19 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns, giving Daniels 65 passing touchdowns over his career, including 20 this season. Daniels’ 20 passing touchdowns this season marks a career high and the fifth most in single season KU history.

• With his 139 yards (110 passing, 29 rushing) on Saturday, Daniels surpassed 10,000 career total offense yards, becoming just the second Jayhawk in school history with 10,000+ career yards (Todd Reessing, 11,840). Daniels is one of 7 active FBS quarterbacks with over 10,000 career total offense yards and is the only player to do so at one school.

• With 29 rushing yards, Daniels also moved into second in career rushing yards by a Kansas quarterback, surpassing Chip Hilleary (1,290). Daniels now trails Nolan Cromwell’s 1,664 career rushing yards from 1975-76.

• Kansas rushed for 232 yards on the day, which marked the fourth time the Kansas offense has rushed for over 200 yards in a game this season with the
last coming against West Virginia (242 yards).

• Senior running back Daniel Hishaw Jr. ran for 65 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, scoring his third and fourth rushing touchdowns of the season. Hishaw has now scored 22 rushing touchdowns in his career, which is tied with David Winbush (1997-2000) for No. 8 in program history. Hishaw’s two rushing touchdowns on Saturday marked his fourth career multi rushing touchdown game, including his first since rushing for two against No. 6 Oklahoma on Oct. 28, 2023.

• Running back Leshon Williams reached the endzone on a five-yard carry in the fourth quarter, marking his 6th touchdown of the season and the 9th of his career. Williams finished with a team-high 77 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries in the game.

• Kansas had seven different receivers catch a pass against Oklahoma State, led by Cam Pickett with three receptions. Pickett, the redshirt junior wide receiver, also recorded a 19-yard rush in the third quarter, his longest run of the season.

• Redshirt senior tight end Leyton Cure recorded a career-high two catches for 32 yards on Saturday. Cure’s first career reception came earlier this season vs. Wagner.

• In the third quarter, redshirt senior tight end Boden Groen hauled in a 3-yard touchdown reception, marking his fourth touchdown reception of the season and seventh of his career. Groen’s four touchdown receptions this season marks a new career high.

• Entering this weekend, Marjan is one of six FBS kickers to convert on 10 or more field goals without a miss this season.

• Dating back to the 2024 season while at South Alabama, Marjan has connected on 23 consecutive field goals with his last miss coming on Sept. 12, 2024 vs. Northwestern State.
