The Kansas football team moved to 2-0 on the 2023 season with a double-digit win over Illinois of the Big Ten on Friday night at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

After a nearly flawless first half, the Jayhawks jumped out to a 34-7 lead midway through the third quarter and rode that to the win, giving the Jayhawks back-to-back 2-0 starts for the first time since 2008 and 2009.

After missing the opener with an injury, junior Jalon Daniels started at QB for the Jayhawks and tossed two touchdowns while leading the offense to 542 total yards.

Kansas will travel to Nevada in Week 3 before returning home to host Big 12 newcomer BYU in the conference opener the following week.

Here's a look back at some of the action from Friday's win.
