The KU women's basketball team moved to 1-0 with a dominant, 88-46 win over visiting Northwestern State in the season opener on Wednesday night at Allen Fieldhouse.
Holly Kersgieter and Wyvette Mayberry led the Jayhawks with 17 points apiece and center Taiyanna Jackson added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the home team.
KU will play at Penn State on Monday and will not return to Allen Fieldhouse for another home game until Nov. 28.
