The Kansas women's basketball team picked up a huge, 60-58 win over Big 12 foe Iowa State on Wednesday night at Allen Fieldhouse.

The win moved Kansas to 10-9 overall and 3-5 in Big 12 play, giving Kansas a victory in the rematch of an earlier loss to ISU in Ames, Iowa.

S'Mya Nichols (16), Zakiyah Franklin (13) and Wyvette Mayberry (13) led the KU offense, and the Jayhawks' defense, which KU coach Brandon Schneider called "exceptional" after the win, held ISU to 39% shooting and just 2 fastbreak points. In the first meeting, the Cyclones scored 19 in transition.

As she has done all season, Mayberry played a huge role in sparking the KU defense, which led to the big win.

Here's a look back at some of Wednesday's action.
