It didn't take Kansas Athletics and construction crews long to get going on the nexts phase of renovations at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
Just like last year, when work on the Jayhawks' reimagined football venue began in the cold of December, demolition on the east side of The Booth got going in a big way last week.

Crews began knocking down the shell on the east side to reveal the walls of the original stadium, which was both a stunning sight to see and a bit of a nostalgic walk down Memory Lane.
In a matter of days, the progress on the tear-down was moving fast and the project, like its predecessor on the west side of the stadium, will likely continue to move with serious pace throughout the winter and into the spring.
Unlike last year's Phase I, which created a brand new look and feel for Kansas football, the renovations/rebuild this time around will not be entirely done by the start of the next football season. Plans call for KU to play its home games in 2026 while construction remains ongoing and with a reduced capacity for the season.
Still, by the time next August rolls around, we'll all have a much clearer picture of what the complete new Booth will look like.
For now, here's a look at some photos from the early stages of Phase II, which looks drastically different today than when these photos were taken and which will look drastically different again at this time next week.

You’ve probably seen some of this floating around, but I don’t think it ever gets old. I was here yesterday too and in just 24 hours they’re so much further along. End of an era. Part II. #KUfball pic.twitter.com/i1KqDPTIRy
