The 19th-ranked Kansas football team — No. 16 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings — lost a tough home game to Texas Tech, 16-13, at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The loss dropped Kansas to 7-3 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 play.

Next up, KU will play host to Kansas State next weekend in the regular season home finale.

Walk-on freshman Cole Ballard came in for an injured Jason Bean and played a solid game, leading KU to three fourth-quarter scores. But it was not enough to pull out the victory.

Here's a look back at some of the action.
