The Kansas football program hosted its season opener of 2025 on Saturday night at the reimagined David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of just over 41,000 KU fans.

The Jayhawks won the game in convincing fashion — 31-7 after scoring 24 unanswered points to close out the game — and got a stellar performance from quarterback Jalon Daniels.
But while the stats and outcome will always be important, the thing this night will forever be remembered most for is being the official opening of the new-look stadium.
In case you missed the tour a week or so ago, be sure to check that out here.
And here are some images from Saturday, when the Jayhawks improved to 1-0 for the fifth consecutive season under Lance Leipold.
