PHOENIX — The Kansas Jayhawks knocked off UNLV, 49-36 in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl at Chase Field on Tuesday night, marking KU's second bowl appearance in the past 12 months and first bowl win in 15 years.

The Jayhawks racked up 28 points and 333 yards of offense in the first half en route to the run-away win over the Rebels. By game's end, Kansas had recorded 591 yards of of offense, with 449 of those coming through the air from MVP quarterback Jason Bean, who completed 19 of 28 attempts.

KU senior Kenny Logan Jr., in his final game as a Jayhawk, was the game's defensive MVP after leading the team with 9 tackles and adding a tackle for loss and one pass break-up, as well.
