It was a Senior Day to remember for the Kansas women’s basketball team, which remained red hot and picked up its second win over a ranked opponent in the past week.

Last week, it was the Jayhawks knocking off No. 10 Kansas State at home in the Sunflower Showdown. On Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse, the Jayhawks knocked off 20th-ranked Oklahoma, which won the Big 12 regular season title and had just two conference losses entering Saturday’s game.

There was a quiet confidence surrounding the Jayhawks (18-11 overall, 11-7 Big 12) entering this one. And they delivered, racing out to a 19-10 first-quarter lead and then playing most of the second half from ahead.

Superstar freshman S'Mya Nichols led the way with a career-high 29 points. Senior guard Holly Kersgieter, who ranks fifth on KU's all-time scoring list, added 26 points. And seniors Taiyanna Jackson (12 points, 15 rebounds), Zakiyah Franklin (11 points) and Ryan Cobbins and Wyvette Mayberry all contributed to the victory on both ends of the floor.

Here's a look back at some of the action from a memorable Senior Day at Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday evening.
